In what's become a running theme this season, the Christian Academy Saints gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Williamsburg Academy, posting a 42-0 victory on the road. 42 seems to be a good number for Christian Academy as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Carly Belle Jackson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten steals. Mary Claire MacDonald was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight steals.
Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Williamsburg Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Academy will challenge Carolina Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Carolina Academy has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Christian Academy will arrive with four straight wins. As for Williamsburg Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Florence Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Florence Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Tuesday.
