Softball Recap: Jennings Wins Going Away Against Northwood

After only one run in their last game, Jennings made sure to put some runs up on the board against Northwood on Friday. Jennings put the hurt on Northwood with a sharp 18-7 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mya Fontenot was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Ava Gary, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Fontenot wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Jennings kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Jennings' win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Northwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Jennings wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 25-3 victory against Breaux Bridge on the 22nd. As for Northwood, they have also already played their next game, a 20-19 loss against Downsville on the 22nd.
