The Manchester Greyhounds lost against the Peebles Indians back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Manchester took a serious blow against Peebles, falling 52-21. Manchester has not had much luck with Peebles recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
It was another big night for Payton Johnson, who scored 28 points along with 9 assists and 8 steals for Peebles. That makes it four consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Peebles' points. Angel Gray was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Peebles, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester will challenge Fayetteville-Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Peebles, they will head out on the road to face off against North Adams at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
