Jackson extended the longest winning streak in 5A Region 3 this week by beating Satsuma, 60-21. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Aggies.
Saraland and Selma played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Saraland eventually emerging with a 24-21 victory.
Sumter Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Jaguars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Julius Maye has thrown for 230 yards and four touchdowns this season, while LeeOtis Washington has 10 catches for 174 yards. Maye also leads the league in rushing with 125 yards.
A big matchup in 5A Region 3 this week will be when the Spartans take on Jackson. As it stands, Saraland is in third, while the Aggies are in first.
Jackson led the league in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on the Gators.
