Trinity Christian is 1-6 against St. Marys since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Trinity Christian Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Marys Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Wednesday, Trinity Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Frankfort, taking the game 64-52. The victory was all the more spectacular given Trinity Christian's disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Frankfort is ranked 57th).
Chayce Adams was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ben Lohmann, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, St. Marys was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 56-55 to Ravenswood. St. Marys has struggled against Ravenswood recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for St. Marys, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Trinity Christian strolled past St. Marys in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 63-48. Does Trinity Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Marys turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
