Softball Recap: Churchill Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Churchill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Dearborn Pioneers a 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Churchill's victory bumped their record up to 16-3-1. As for Dearborn, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-17-2.

Looking ahead, Churchill will square off against Allen Park at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Dearborn, they will face off against Western International at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
