The Pomona Red Devils will square off against the Edgewood Lions at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pomona's pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Thursday. They put the hurt on La Puente with a sharp  9-0 victory. The  win was nothing new for the Red Devils as they're now sitting on five straight.

The result came thanks to  Vince Huguez's shutout, as he gave up just two  hits and racked up ten Ks. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March of 2024.
 At the plate, Pomona got a big performance out of  Ivan Lopez, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.  Victor Tlatenchi was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base.
Meanwhile, Edgewood got the win against Bassett  on Thursday by a conclusive  12-0. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Lions.
 Raymond Tafolla made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Tafolla was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Maddox Murillo was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Johnathan Enriquez, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Edgewood  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bassett only posted  an  OBP of  .133.
 Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Pomona, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Edgewood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Pomona hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .319. It's a different story for Edgewood, though, as  they've  only  averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Pomona's hitters?
 Pomona came up short against Edgewood when the teams last played  back in March of 2024, falling  7-4. Can Pomona avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
