Middleton faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Vikings have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

At the plate, Jeremiah Keithley was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jedsen Aldrich, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
The win was the seventh in a row for Middleton, bringing their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games.
