The Springstead Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by East Ridge at home to the tune of 57-24. The win was nothing new for Springstead as they're now sitting on five straight.
Samantha Suarez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with six assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was J'ziyah Munford, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Springstead's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. As for East Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Springstead will head out on the road to face off against Vanguard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vanguard has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. East Ridge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. South Sumter is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
