Margolin Hebrew Academy kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 57-30 loss at the hands of the Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Eagles.
Memphis School of Excellence Winchester's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tatianna Woods, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 steals. Woods has been hot , having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmiya Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Margolin Hebrew Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Memphis School of Excellence Winchester at 6:00 p.m. on December 3rd. As for Memphis School of Excellence Winchester, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bluff City at 6:00 p.m.
