The Casa Roble Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Soquel Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Casa Roble comes in on nine and Soquel on eight.
Casa Roble extended their postseason success on Friday against Twelve Bridges. They pulled ahead with a 23-22 photo finish over the Raging Rhinos.
Casa Roble's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Campbell, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Blevins, who gained 103 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Soquel owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Christopher 28-0 at home. Considering Soquel has won five games by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Soquel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Mccord out in front who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown. Mccord was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards. Braylon Noble also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Casa Roble's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Soquel, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
