Loss or not, HEARTS for Jesus Christ got some senior leadership from Alex Zelenka who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds and Maria Cottenden who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Zelenka scored a full 40% of HEARTS for Jesus Christ's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Even though they lost, HEARTS for Jesus Christ were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Fuchs Mizrachi's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for HEARTS for Jesus Christ, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2.
Fuchs Mizrachi will finish 2023 at home by hosting Orange at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. HEARTS for Jesus Christ will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christian Community at 6:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
