The Edison Tigers will head out to  challenge the San Joaquin Memorial Panthers  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Edison is coming into the  game on  a  five-game losing streak.
On Friday, Edison came up short against Madera  and fell  34-26.
Meanwhile, San Joaquin Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Justin Garza on Friday and fell  38-35. Despite 316 more yards than the Guardians, the Panthers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Despite the  defeat, San Joaquin Memorial saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Colton Johnson rushed for 112 yards and a pair of  scores on only nine carries, and also threw for 284 yards and two  TDs on only 18 passes.
 San Joaquin Memorial didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Ben Ruiz and  John Paul Hernandez.  Mason Alarcon was another major factor on D,  making 16 total tackles.
 San Joaquin Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Edison was dealt a bruising  40-6 loss at the hands of San Joaquin Memorial in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024. That  contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down  27-6.
