The Hazelwood West Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 54-41 to Parkway South. Hazelwood West was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Parkway South apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkway South to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eddie Ahearn, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Braden Eye was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Hazelwood West has not been sharp recently as the team has lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Parkway South, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing McCluer North the next time they take the court. Parkway South will host McCluer North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hazelwood West will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
