Center Hill is 5-0 against South Panola since December of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Center Hill Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the South Panola Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Center Hill and nine for South Panola.
Last Tuesday, Center Hill ended up a good deal behind Olive Branch and lost 64-47. While losing is never fun, Center Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Olive Branch is ranked 11th).
Meanwhile, South Panola lost to Grenada on the road by a decisive 63-47 margin on Friday.
Center Hill bumped their record down to 6-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for South Panola, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
Center Hill took their win against South Panola when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 72-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Center Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
