Bloomington North walked away with a 63-55 win over Lawrence Central. The victory was all the more spectacular given Bloomington North's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Lawrence Central is ranked 72nd).
Leading Bloomington North to victory were Connor O'guinn and Luke Lindeman. O'guinn scored 19 points along with five rebounds, while Lindeman scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Lindeman's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nehemiah Dangerfield, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Bloomington North and bumps their season record up to 3-7. As for Lawrence Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Bloomington North will be playing at home against Bloomington South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bloomington South is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Lawrence Central and Park Tudor will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Park Tudor's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
