For Academy of the New Church's part, Jamie Madara was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Madara has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.
In other batting news, Morgan Henderson and Isabella Furness did most of the damage at the plate: Henderson went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Furness went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Furness has posted since back in April of 2024. Olena Abakah-Williams also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
