The Carolina Academy Bobcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Williamsburg Academy, falling 43-0. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carolina Academy in their matchups with Williamsburg Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
It was another big night for Teague Ward, who rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Ward was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Another player making a difference was JD Sholar, who picked up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Carolina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Williamsburg Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Carolina Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Williamsburg Academy will be playing at home against Spartanburg Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spartanburg Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Williamsburg Academy is ranked 111th).
