It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Salisbury ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Scotland County Tigers 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Salisbury pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Scotland County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salisbury will venture away from home to face off against Northeast at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Scotland County, they will head out to challenge Canton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
