The Holbrook Roadrunners will head out to square off against the Show Low Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Holbrook will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Winslow, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Roadrunners walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Bulldogs on Friday.

Baler Reidhead was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, Holbrook let Justin Maestas and Niko Espitia run wild. Maestas went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Espitia went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Maestas has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Ty Larson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Holbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Show Low was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on Alchesay with a sharp 15-2 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Kash Perkins, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Landon Eriksen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
The victory made it two in a row for Show Low and bumps their season record up to 15-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Holbrook, their record now sits at 11-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Holbrook has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Show Low struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Holbrook skirted past Show Low 3-2 in their previous meeting last Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Roadrunners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
