With a playoff game on the line, the Maranatha Minutemen rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They never let the Wildcats onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. The win was familiar territory for Maranatha who now have six in a row.
Their one-goal win came courtesy of
Miles Romero, who's now up to 12 this season.
Maranatha pushed their record up to 13-6-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five matchups. As for Windward, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Maranatha will take on California Military Institute at TBD on Friday. California Military Institute's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Windward does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
