After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ensworth, Osceola was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 31-12 victory over the Gosnell Pirates. The high-scoring effort was just what the Seminoles needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.
Tyler Bell had a dynamite game for Osceola, throwing for 199 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 56 yards and a touchdown. Bell also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making a tackle and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. Jeremiah Jacobs was another key player, gaining 164 total yards and a touchdown.
The win got Osceola back to even at 1-1. As for Gosnell, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Osceola and Hoxie will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on September 27th. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2014, but likely not for long. As for Gosnell, they will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Highland at 7:00 p.m. on September 27th.
