Softball Recap: Bunkie's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bunkie came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Vidalia Vikings. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kylie Knight was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Brianna LaBorde, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one run.

Bunkie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vidalia only posted an OBP of .286.

Bunkie's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Vidalia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Bunkie will take on Buckeye at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bunkie's pitchers better be ready for this one: Buckeye has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Vidalia, they will challenge Marksville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
