The Masuk Panthers pushed their score all the way to 61 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 77-61 to Brookfield. Masuk just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Shane Weber was his usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with six assists and six rebounds for Brookfield. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Weber has scored at least a third of Brookfield's points. Ryan Horton was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Masuk has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Brookfield, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
Masuk will look to defend their home court on Friday against New Milford at 7:00 p.m. New Milford has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16. As for Brookfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Notre Dame Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Notre Dame Catholic will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
