Mercy Prep Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Non Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Thursday.
Mercy Prep Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Lawson, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Walker Hampton, who scored 14 points.
Mercy Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 95-200-1 record this season.
Mercy Prep Academy will head out on the road to challenge Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Varsity Opponent has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 18. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Johnson County Sports Association at 5:00 p.m. Hopefully Johnson County Sports Association focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Thursday.
