Winter Haven's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamie Phillips jr led the charge by scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Phillips jr hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Celiscar, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Winter Haven's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Auburndale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.
Winter Haven will take on Riviera Prep at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday. Averaging 67 so far this season, Riviera Prep's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Winter Haven better be ready for a challenge.
