There's no place like home for the Lodi Academy Titans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past Vanguard College Prep with a 49-43 victory on Monday. For Lodi Academy, this counts as revenge for the 76-38 loss Vanguard College Prep walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Leading Lodi Academy to victory were Andrew Kanas and Winston Dos Reis. Kanas dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Dos Reis scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Kanas hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Kaleb Nevis was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
Vanguard College Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Desmond Taylor, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gustavo Mora, who scored eight points along with seven steals and five assists.
The victory got Lodi Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Vanguard College Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Don Pedro comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last 11 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
