Greer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samora Moody, who scored 20 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalasia Lewis, who scored 8 points along with 13 rebounds and 4 steals.
When it comes to explaining why Denmark-Olar lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aveion Walker. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Ry'Naisha Barnes was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Greer's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Denmark-Olar, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Greer will take on Trinity Collegiate at TBD on Saturday. As for Denmark-Olar, they will square off against Gray Collegiate Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
