Smoky Mountain's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cameron Fowler, who scored 16 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Custer Prenger, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Smoky Mountain's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Erwin, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smoky Mountain's road trip will continue as they head out to face North Buncombe at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. One thing working in North Buncombe's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Erwin, they will head out on the road to face off against Avery County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
