The Desert Christian Academy Conquerors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Santa Rosa Academy as Desert Christian Academy made off with a 75-54 win. The victory was familiar territory for Desert Christian Academy who now have five in a row.
Leading Desert Christian Academy to victory were Augustine Youssef and Jacob Reynolds. Youssef scored 24 points along with seven rebounds, while Reynolds scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Youssef has scored at least 25% of Desert Christian Academy's points. Jaden Herling was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Despite the loss, Santa Rosa Academy still got an impressive performance from Chris Jones, who scored 14 points. Jones scored a full 25.9% of Santa Rosa Academy's points, the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Johnson, who scored ten points.
Desert Christian Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
Desert Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Desert Christian Academy likes a good challenge. Santa Rosa Academy will be staying on the road on December 27th to face off against Rock Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. Rock Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.1 points per game.
