Heartland Christian Academy strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They enjoyed a cozy 63-45 victory over Sunnydale Academy. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Sunnydale Academy are ranked 83rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Heartland Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylee Kiser, who posted 23 points. That's the most points Kiser has posted since back in January. Titus Bock was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Several Sunnydale Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremiah IIanyumva, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Willy Solis-Madrid, who went 6-for-10 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

Heartland Christian Academy's record now sits at 7-0. As for Sunnydale Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Coming up, Heartland Christian Academy will head out to take on Quincy HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sunnydale Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heritage Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026.
