The Canyon Lake Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Bandera BULLDOGS at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon Lake will be strutting in after a win while Bandera will be coming in after a loss.
On Friday, Canyon Lake made easy work of Long Creek and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.
While Canyon Lake might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Long Creek scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-21.

Canyon Lake can attribute much of their success to Izzy Fory, who had 13 digs and one assist, and Sabrina Steele, who had 14 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Steele has posted since back in August. Bella Biasatti also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.
Meanwhile, Bandera was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Fredericksburg, falling 3-0.
While Bandera was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-17.
Canyon Lake will need to focus on slowing down Sydney Moore, one of several Bandera players who made an impact when they last played. She had ten digs, nine kills, and two blocks. Moore has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 32 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Pyper Barnard, who had nine kills, three digs, three blocks, and two aces.
Canyon Lake's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Bandera, their loss dropped their record down to 13-22.
