After losing to the Newark Norsemen the last time they met, the Indian Creek Timberwolves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Indian Creek narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Newark 51-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Indian Creek.
Indian Creek had a senior duo take command as Jeffrey Probst scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and Landon Schrader scored 16 points. Schrader also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. Everett Willis was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds.
Indian Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Newark, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Indian Creek won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Genoa-Kingston at 7:15 p.m. on December 9th. As for Newark, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dwight at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dwight is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
