Newton Local won the last time they faced Yellow Springs and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Indians were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Newton Local not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Yellow Springs between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-19.

Mya Denlinger was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high.

Denlinger wasn't the only good server: Newton Local was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matches.

Newton Local's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Yellow Springs, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton Local will take on Cedarville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Yellow Springs, they will be playing at home against Emmanuel Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
