The Dover Crimson Tornadoes entered their tilt with the Steubenville Big Red with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Dover came out on top against the Big Red by a score of 51-41 on Friday. Given Dover's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Big Red are ranked 376th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Steubenville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Santino Haney, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Haney hasn't dropped below 17 points for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Keith Lewis, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Dover's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Steubenville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Dover will be playing at home against the Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Steubenville, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mohigans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
