Attending the Division I wrestling championship has become like watching a movie after you’ve read the book: You know the ending before you enter the building.
That’s how dominant the Timberlane wrestling program has been in the last decade. Timberlane won its 10th consecutive state title – and 15th in the last 16 years – Saturday night at Nashua South High School.
The Owls earned 303.5 points and finished 78.5 points ahead of runner-up Pinkerton Academy.
A Timberlane wrestler reached the final in 11 of the 14 weight classes.
“We really dominated,” Timberlane coach Barry Chooljian said. “We’re weren’t thinking about trying to win 10 in a row. We just try to focus on one year at a time."
