The Bethany Christian Bruins' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Fairfield Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bethany Christian beat the Eagles 57-53.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethany Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyson Chupp, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Chupp has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Carter Miller was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fairfield didn't have too much trouble with the Railroaders on the road on Thursday as they won 49-32. Given Fairfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Railroaders are ranked 341st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bethany Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Fairfield, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.
Bethany Christian ended up a good deal behind the Falcons in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 51-35. Can Bethany Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
