AISA AAA Region 2 recap October 22, 2013
Monroe Academy added to the longest winning streak in AISA AAA Region 2 this week by beating Morgan Academy, 34-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Volunteers.
The Senators made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,463 from 9,863. The improvement was the result of a 34-7 victory over Morgan Academy last week.
Morgan Academy's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Senators feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Harrison Adams has thrown for 1,541 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Harrison Watters has 42 catches for 772 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Monroe Academy takes on Pike Liberal Arts. At the moment, the Volunteers are in first, while the Patriots are in sixth.
