Madill is on a four-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Stilwell a six-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Madill Wildcats will take on the Stilwell Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Madill will be strutting in after a win while Stilwell will be coming in after a loss.
Last Thursday, Madill didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Fort Gibson, but they still walked away with a 27-21 victory.
Meanwhile, Stilwell took a serious blow against Ada on Thursday, falling 62-28. Stilwell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Despite their defeat, Stilwell saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tray Chuculate, who picked up 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Benham, who rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
Madill made their fans wait, but they finally earned their first win of the season and are now 1-6. As for Stilwell, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Madill couldn't quite finish off Stilwell in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 and fell 44-42. Thankfully for Madill, Cainan Mink (who rushed for 87 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time.
