The North Harrison Cougars will be playing at home against the Crawford County Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Harrison is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, North Harrison was beaten by Orleans 64-36. While losing is never fun, North Harrison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while Orleans is ranked 69th).
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Crawford County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 60-50 to Perry Central. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crawford County in their matchups with Perry Central: they've now lost five in a row.
North Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Crawford County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
North Harrison beat Crawford County 61-52 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Crawford County's Isaac Nickelson, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for North Harrison to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
