Even though the West Side Pirates have not done well against the Bear Lake Bears recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. West Side secured a 72-67 W over Bear Lake. Winning may never get old, but West Side sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Despite the loss, Bear Lake still got an impressive performance from Bryson Crane, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. Toby Flake was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
West Side has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Bear Lake, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-2 record last season and are now at 5-8.
West Side will be playing in front of their home fans against Teton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Teton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully West Side likes a good challenge. As for Bear Lake, they will head out on the road to challenge Aberdeen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Aberdeen is ranked 97th, while Bear Lake is ranked 83rd).
