The Goleman Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season. They breezed by South Miami at home to the tune of 69-3. Goleman's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Goleman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jasmin Brown, who scored 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Goleman's points. Akayla Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.
Goleman pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for South Miami, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Goleman will be home for the holidays to greet Reagan at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Reagan comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for South Miami, they will head out on the road to face off against Hialeah at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hialeah is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
