New Oxford's game  on Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Northeastern Bobcats with a sharp  13-4 win. Considering the Colonials have won seven games by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Miranda Leatherman made a splash no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over six innings pitched. Leatherman was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-5 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Brooklyn Horick was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Payton Hostetter was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with three  runs and three  RBI.
 New Oxford was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .378. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northeastern only posted a  batting average of  .250.
New Oxford has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Northeastern, their record now sits at 1-10.
 Looking ahead, New Oxford will challenge Central York at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. As for Northeastern, they will square off against William Penn at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. The Bobcats are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak.
