The Haverford Fords will square off against the Upper Darby Royals at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Haverford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Lower Merion hit Haverford with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Fords took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aces. The loss was the Fords' first of the season.

Haverford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jimmy Boyle, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Owen Klick was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Garnet Valley hit Upper Darby with a eight-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Royals came up short against the Jaguars, falling 12-2. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Upper Darby's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Haverford, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 15-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Haverford has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Upper Darby struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Everything went Haverford's way against Upper Darby in their previous meeting back in March, as Haverford made off with a 20-0 win. Will the Fords repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
