Branford is 0-10 against Trenton since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Branford Buccaneers will look to defend their home court against the Trenton Tigers at 7:30 p.m.
Branford suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 68-47 loss at the hands of Dixie County.
Meanwhile, Trenton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chiefland 74-43 at home. With that victory, Trenton brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.
Mason VunCannon and Clark Hausner were among the main playmakers for Trenton as the former dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds and the latter scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hausner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zander Grant, who scored ten points.
Branford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Trenton, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Branford couldn't quite finish off Trenton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 and fell 57-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Trenton's Nathan Ridgell, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds.
