Oak Forest has gone 9-1 against Tinley Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bengals will face off against the Titans at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Oak Forest's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Thornton Fractional North with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bengals.

Logan Mackowiak was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Oak Forest: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 2-5-1 otherwise. Mackowiak was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.
In other pitching news, Jayden Campnell looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Oak Forest got a massive performance out of Will Kelly, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Kelly a new career-high in RBI (two). Devin Booth also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Oak Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are undefeated (2-0) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Tinley Park sidestepped Manteno for a 5-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.
The team relied heavily on Nolan Maciejewski, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Dylan Hullinger, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Oak Forest pushed their record up to 4-6-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tinley Park, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Oak Forest has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Tinley Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Oak Forest took their victory against Tinley Park in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Bengals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
