Even though the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, the Pickett County Bobcats still came out on top. Pickett County secured a 70-64 W over Stewarts Creek. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pickett County.
Jacob Amonett was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with five assists. Those 28 points set a new season-high mark for him. Nathaniel Cobb was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Pickett County's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Stewarts Creek, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Pickett County is on the road again on Friday and play against White House at 2:30 p.m. on December 29th. Stewarts Creek and Hendersonville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
