For the first time this season, Osbourn Park will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Battlefield Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Osbourn Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Osbourn Park needed a bit of extra time to put away Paul VI. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Panthers 15-13. The Yellowjackets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Osbourn Park got a massive performance out of Jenna Wilson, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and one double. Those seven RBI gave Wilson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gauri Saigal, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Osbourn Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .425. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Battlefield didn't have quite enough to beat Broad Run on Monday and fell 9-8.
Abby Burns and Jaylen Wright did some serious damage despite the final result: Burns scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Wright scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Osbourn Park's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Battlefield, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.
Battlefield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Osbourn Park hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. It's a different story for Battlefield, though, as they've only averaged .253. Will they be able to contain Osbourn Park's hitters?
Osbourn Park was able to grind out a solid victory over Battlefield in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, winning 3-0. Does Osbourn Park have another victory up their sleeve, or will Battlefield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
