While Carver didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 51-44 win over the Washington Bulldogs on Tuesday. Those 51 points were actually the fewest the Panthers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The victory made it two in a row for Carver and bumps their season record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Washington, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Carver is taking a road trip to take on Therrell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carver's defense better be ready for this one: Therrell has averaged an impressive 58.8 points per game this season. As for Washington, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Lovett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
