The North County Knights lost against the Annapolis Panthers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. North County took a serious blow against Annapolis, falling 68-30. North County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-17.
Annapolis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mckenzie Fuller out in front who scored 22 points along with five assists and five steals. Fuller is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Catherine King was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with four steals.
North County's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.8 points per game. As for Annapolis, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
North County will head out on the road to take on Southern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North County in Maryland (Southern is ranked 61st, while North County is ranked 234th). As for Annapolis, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Meade at 6:00 p.m. Meade is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
